[Project Look Book - Boracay Weekend] Friday, May 13, 2011

Just came back from a short stay in Boracay. I defied all bad luck by traveling on Friday the 13th. And you know what, everything was all good! Anyway, this is the first of two supplementary Look Book posts to make up for my absence at the office last Friday.

I got these light blue swim shorts from Speedo a week before our trip. Was supposed to get it in yellow but they didn't have it in my size. Wore a dark blue sleeveless crew from Bench to highlight the brightness of the shorts, and a straw hat I got last year from Zara.

But of course, cheap shades from i2i! I wrote in a previous post that I don't wear or intend to wear expensive sunglasses to the beach. True enough, this one got scratched when I wiped the lens with my sarong that had sand in it.

A few weeks ago, I found myself wandering inside Bench Powerplant Mall. And what else would catch my eye but two fragrances by their lonesome twosome, positioned far away from the rest of the brand's scent offerings. They're Basil & Neroli and Green Cedar , both EDTs and part of the  Bench Better Made line . The frags are purported to be vegan and cruelty-free. They come in 125ml dark brown glass bottles and brown paper cylindrical boxes. Nice packaging there except for the cheap, plastic cap. No big deal, though, since they're just Php 428 apiece.

Man of style: Steven Tyler

What? Yes, Steven Tyler. He obviously does not fit the bill of the suited type or the GQ man but hey, the man's got style. And he's got swag, baby! Since joining American Idol , Tyler, together with fellow judge Jennifer Lopez, have glammed up the singing competition with their flair for fashion ( forget Randy; he's hopeless ). And I am more than happy to wait for what he's gonna wear each episode.
