So Spock is gay. Well at least the 2009 incarnation is.
Zachary Quinto, who played the iconic character in the 2009 reboot of Star Trek, casually said he was gay -- in passing -- in an interview with New York Magazine. Let's make it clear, though, that despite prolonged speculations about his sexuality, this article was not his big reveal. In fact, there is no big reveal. He did the interview simply to promote his new movie Margin Call, a thriller set in the first 24 hours of the U.S. financial crisis, which he also produced.
Whatever. I loved Quinto as the menacing Sylar in Heroes, and I loved him as Spock in the last Star Trek. And I'm still waiting for that follow-up to that J.J. Abrams blockbuster. I say, just let him be.
