The cats of Ko Phi Phi

On our first day in Ko Phi Phi in Thailand (see posts here and here), My Bibe and I had the pleasure of meeting this little fella:
He was such a gorgeous cat with a relatively thicker fur than most local cats here in the Philippines. We were instantly charmed. We got to pet him a bit and take photos before he sauntered off the beach like it was his domain. Little did I know that it would be the start of several more encounters with his kind, and I'm glad to show them all to you. There's a lot of them, and I mean a lot!
That's all I got from Ko Phi Phi but I also met a few from Phuket (yeah, we got a few!), so I'd like to give some space for them, too.

The first kitty we met; nothing short of adorable.
While waiting for My Bibe to get her nails done, I saw this one rubbing his head against some foliage.
Not far from the black and white cat was this one, feeding on some meat someone gave her.
I call him Grouch. But a charming one.
This one didn't like us near him. It was hard to photograph him but I eventually succeeded somehow.
Aww... Who could resist her? She was there around some food stalls, begging for some food with nothing but her expression. Quite the user, though. Once she had her fill from our table, she moved to the next.
They're just everywhere!
This one was getting cozy; didn't want to be bothered at all.
I love the streaks of gray on his fur. Another hard one to photograph, though.
Just so cute.
A shy one; didn't want to come out of his hiding place at all.
Sorry for the flash.
My, my, my, what big ears you have! We just left the hotel here and the warm air outside made my lens all foggy. But I couldn't wait any longer for fear that this little guy would leave and I'd miss the chance to photograph him.
Obviously this is the mother. Their coats are different but the ears are a giveaway.
This guy decided to hang out with us while we were waiting for our speedboat to come.
Want to go to Maya Bay? Ask her. The taxi meant, by the way, is a long tail.
This is the same cat from the previous photo. I felt sorry when I saw she lost her other eye. Poor thing. Bless her.
If that other cat was in charge of water taxis, this one here is hawking tours.
Also in the tourism business, only he's on a break.
The cats here look really okay to me. I don't know if they're fed right but I'm sure they all get to eat something.
I wanna kiss her pink nose...
Love his tail; just wasn't very cooperative, however.
He looks like Grouch but he's not. This one's got a gray coat (Grouch was orange).
This one's watching over his store -- in a very laid-back way, that is.
This one reminded us of our Kwittie Boy, though his fur was shorter and he's got lovely blue eyes.
Ah, kittens! I can imagine myself all smiles here.
Smile! At least I got one smiling.
This one's really gorgeous but unfortunately has an attitude. He was growling at the kittens I photographed. He probably doesn't like kids.
This one just wanted to stay clear of the angry cat.
Hey, time to go to bed now, fella!
Kitten on the loose!
That's all I got from Ko Phi Phi but I also met a few from Phuket (yeah, we got a few!), so I'd like to give some space for them, too.
Coming from our evening at Phuket FantaSea, this gorgeous gray cat greeted us at one of the halls of our hotel. What a welcome surprise!
We had a slight problem: he kept following us but of course, we couldn't keep him in our room. It was also so hard to part with him because he was just so cute. I'm sure he has an owner because he had a fancy collar around his neck.
This was one of three cats we saw inside a souvenir shop. I just love his expression, like he's bored to death or was simply giving me that "Whatever!" look.
The cats were just there behind the counter. With this one, I found the "Reusable" sign behind him quite funny.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur... Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr...
Purr...
so cute!
