[Lookbook 09.14.2012] Rainy days and Fridays and faux layering
It sure was a rainy day yesterday, a perfect time to layer. Well, not so much outside but indoors in the office. But, but, but...I went with the lazy route. If there are, say, products like shampoo and conditioner in one, there sure is a shirt, cardigan and scarf all rolled into one outfit as well. And I'm wearing one.
I'm enjoying this rather whimsical piece so much. There's the off-center opening of the "cardigan" and I'm also digging the subtle allusion to Chinese style with the hooks and eyes. Then there's that "scarf" attached to it that I can play around with.
But to balance out the resulting monochrome of the purple and gray, I wore chinos in a contrasting maroon color. I know it's cold but I went with a sockless look here. You can say I was going for more contrast. Okay, I probably am not making any sense, so I'll stop.
Parting shot: If rainy days and Mondays always get you down, what about rainy days and Fridays?
