[Lookbook 01.09.2013] Refocusing attention with stripes

Oh yay, my first outfit post of the year! It's actually been a while since I last posted one. Well, the holidays are definitely over and sadly, they're not easy to forget, what with all the excess poundage that hound me every time I try on clothes! Oh yes, I'm fat, so I'm trying to divert attention from my midsection with some vertical stripes.

With a purple shirt, my default color for trousers would have been black but I was trying to stay clear of that today. I was debating with myself between this light brown piece and an olive green one, eventually settling with the former.

I thought brown shoes or some brogues would have been the perfect footwear but I was feeling all casual today. So I ended up wearing boat shoes -- but in olive green! How's that for something different? They're so comfy yet so inexpensive, by the way.

Meanwhile, I kept the belt brown. I also removed the rather outlandish frame of my watch since there's already a lot going on.

So anyway, I don't think the stripes helped. I'm still fat.
