I was browsing through Zara's new arrivals on their website and I came across something I've long been wanting to own: dungarees! Or overalls, whatever you call them.
While dungarees are originally meant as protective clothing for workers, I've seen in photos online how they've slimmed down and become more fashionable than functional. And that's exactly the type of overalls I've been looking for, albeit passively.
Six months ago I saw one from Bershka, but it wasn't the full-length type. The bib was smaller than usual and the braces sported a suspenders kind of style. Nonetheless I tried it on.
Never mind that I look weird in the photo because of the angle and the tight space in the dressing room. Anyway, I liked it but at over Php 3,000 I summoned my rational alter-ego and decided against it, especially since the half-leg length will prevent me from wearing it to work on Fridays. But now I saw Zara's full-length offering.
It's still not as slim as I wanted it to be and what I'm really hoping for is for it to come in a darker denim. And at Php 3,995, I probably still won't get it. Unless someone is crazy enough to buy me one, in which case I have no problem.
