LOOKBOOK | 28Sept2015: Against the black wall

Sorry if my shirt is blinding you. Believe me, I already desaturated the photo a bit. It just pops out no matter what, especially with that black wall behind me. Oh yeah, I just love that black wall.

My choice of shirt was determined by the new theme we have for our "Tree for All Seasons" at the office (I really have to explain in a separate post what this Tree for All Seasons is). My crazy colleagues and I decided on Talk 'N Text, the country's biggest prepaid mobile phone service brand, which just recently signed up the phenomenal "AlDub" love team as endorsers. Orange and yellow are the brand's main colors, hence my orange shirt.

I had to counter the shirt's loudness with some very tame pants, which are actually joggers, by the way. The dark blue color is tame enough to just let the shirt be the star. I picked a bow tie as accessory but consciously avoided blue, which would have been predictable. Somehow this maroon piece felt just right.

For shoes I went with camel brogues with a sockless look. I ditched the belt because then there'd already be too much brown that may only further compete with the orange.

  1. I´m still trying to wear orange lol...is just one of those colors it pops so much I always end up second guessing (and eventually changing) the outfit, not the biggest fan of wearing too much color and this one just shoots for the stars with its tone. I really like the way you managed the color here and great decision to avoid the predictable choice in bow tie it paid off.
