FRAGRANCE | Irae Extrait de Parfum by V Canto: Cold metal freshness

Image
About a year ago, I blind-bought Irae by V Canto  primarily because I was curious about how "iron" and "rust" would smell like in a fragrance. For something that's not exceedingly expensive, it's presented beautifully, its slender, velvet-covered bottle encased in a hard box that opens from the middle like a wardrobe. It's also the only fragrance box I own so far that's secured with a string.

LOOKBOOK | A year ago today

Image
Time flies. It's been exactly one year since I last set foot at our office for what was a "normal" day at work. It was Friday the 13th and I was wearing jeans paired with a lightweight gray sweater and matching gray sneaks. It was a normal casual outfit for me then. But what we've all known to be normal has since been upturned by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Since then, I've been working from home, thankful that I still have a job of course. From wearing office shirts, suits, pullovers, pants, and shoes, I've turned to t-shirts, shorts, tank tops, and flip-flops. It's been one year already and things here have essentially been as dire as when lockdowns started.

FRAGRANCE | Escada Magnetism for Men EDT: A fairly uncommon scent that ought to be brought back

Image
Escada Magnetism for Men is but one of many discontinued fragrances that fragheads are pining for. Ebay sharks, of course, have capitalized on its rarity, commanding prices that I find rather obscene. Personally, I wouldn't fork out a fortune just to score a bottle that in itself carries its own risks. I'm never sure if the juice hasn't turned, more so if it's authentic at all. I'm just lucky to find one.

FRAGRANCE | Crab Apple Blossom Perfume by Clive Christian: A smooth blend of fresh and creamy

Image
I, coming from this part of the tropics, crabapple trees are alien to me. That said, I have no idea how crabapple blossom smells like. Just the same, I got hold of Clive Christian's Crab Apple Blossom , which was released in 2020. It's my first Clive. Because of its prohibitive pricing, it's a house I'm not really willing to explore. I simply lucked out on a good deal with this one.
