DINING | The Blackbird at the Nielson Tower

The spiral staircase inside The Blackbird at the Nielson Tower. Last Christmas Day after driving home from Malabon, Kwittiegirl and I dropped by the Ayala Triangle for early dinner. After finding out our target restaurant had long been supplanted by a different one, we tried The Blackbird at the Nielson Tower  instead. For several months now what used to be the Filipinas Heritage Library--that in turn used to be the Manila International Air Terminal, or Nielson Airport, from the late 1930s to the late 1940s--is now a fancy restaurant. Yes, we've heard all the hype but we're not really the type who actively seek out new places to try. Nevertheless, at least we were finally able to try this one out. The Goose Station: Degustation at its finest

About two weeks ago My Bibe and I tried out The Goose Station at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. And to sum it all up, we loved it there! Our yummy main course: chicken roulade A play on the word "degustation," this restaurant does put the "fine" in fine dining. For us who don't really go out of our way to try out new restaurants and whatnot, this was one of those rare occasions when we made an exception. And boy were we so glad we did!
