LOOKBOOK | Of knit polos and whimsical footwear

Image
Knits are always a nice addition to anyone's wardrobe, and I have amassed quite a few. Depending on what kind of knit and thickness, they can be very versatile and can go with practically any look or occasion. Apart from a couple of cable-knit and other thick sweaters , most of my knits are round-neck or V-neck pullovers that I can easily wear with a jacket or blazer to the office. Knit polos , on the other hand, I hardly have, so it's nice to wear one.

They say wearing black makes you look slimmer. I don't know, you tell me.

LOOKBOOK | With folded arms

So with this typhoon comes sweater weather. Well, sort of. While the weather itself isn't exactly that cold, indoors at the office can be a little freezing. It's the perfect time to unearth those chunky knits hidden somewhere in your closet. Seize the moment because ROI, people, ROI.

LOOKBOOK | Knitpicking

I have a thing for knits . They're comfy, plain and simple. You don't have to fuss about them so much because you just put them on and you're good to go. Where I come from the climate unfortunately isn't kind enough for us to enjoy knitwear so much. But sometimes--just sometimes--we get those moments that allow us to wear them, like rainy days, for instance.

The beauty and comfort of knits

Yes, the weather's still going to be cold ahead. And what better way to keep warm than with knits? Oh yeah, the comfort they provide, I know. [Lookbook 09.20.2012] Cornered and colored

Super late post. This was an outfit last week during a very rainy Thursday. And of course I'm back in this very familiar corner of our office, where the raindrops on the glass windows look both melancholic and beautiful.

United Colors of Benetton Fall/Winter 2012

Image
It seems like United Colors of Benetton has been flying under my radar for so long now, like I've completely forgotten about them. I stumbled upon their site lately, though, and was instantly wowed. True to its name, there were lots of colors and I am loving their Fall/Winter 2012 collection so much, particularly their knits. I know fall and winter are absolutely non-existent here in the Philippines but by the looks of it, Benetton has got some pieces that I can definitely wear here -- at least to work, where the airconditioning is on overdrive. Like I mentioned, their knits are tops on my list. From straight-out sweaters, to double-breasted and toggle designs, I love the colors, the patterns, and the consistently trim fit.

[Lookbook 06.06.2012] I committed a crime

Image
Yes, I did commit a crime today, a crime of fashion. You know when you're never supposed to wear a single brand head-to-toe? I did just that, albeit unknowingly. I very well knew that the top and trousers I would be wearing were from the same brand but I went on anyway because I loved the color combination so much. Besides, two pieces don't necessarily mean head-to-toe already, I thought. Until I picked the shoes, which, I realized only now, are of the same brand as the clothes.

[Lookbook 05.07.2012] Knit-pick

Knits aren't really associated with warm weather but I insisted on wearing one today. In my defense, it's not a chunky knit piece in the first place. Second, it's short-sleeved. Third, I'm in an air-conditioned office the whole day. Besides, it wasn't as warm as the last week. Fourth, look at the color! Fifth, it was 60% off! I picked up a couple of knits last week from Tyler, and a lot of them were either 30% or 60% off ( and still are as of yesterday! ). The colors were just amazing and I completely went crazy over them. ( If you want to own one, go ahead and join my Tyler giveaway . )
