The cats of Ko Phi Phi

Follow my blog with Bloglovin On our first day in Ko Phi Phi in Thailand ( see posts here and here ), My Bibe and I had the pleasure of meeting this little fella: He was such a gorgeous cat with a relatively thicker fur than most local cats here in the Philippines. We were instantly charmed. We got to pet him a bit and take photos before he sauntered off the beach like it was his domain. Little did I know that it would be the start of several more encounters with his kind, and I'm glad to show them all to you. There's a lot of them, and I mean a lot!

Looking back at Ko Phi Phi (Part 2)

While I'm enjoying all the rest that I can get, this four-day long weekend has got me thinking about vacations. Then I realized I still haven't shared the second part of my Ko Phi Phi post ( You can read Part 1 here ). So here goes... Me at the famed Maya Bay in Ko Phi Phi Leh. It was island-hopping day for me and My Bibe . We shared a small speedboat with another couple from Australia. We thought it was more comfortable and safer than a long tail given the huge waves we've experienced the day before.

Looking back at Ko Phi Phi (Part 1)

This was me in Ko Phi Phi, Thailand last year. I was going through photographs in my hard drive and saw the ones from that trip. God, I miss that place and would really love to go back. Phi Phi is actually a small group of islands along the Andaman Sea that are part of Krabi province. There's the main island Ko Phi Phi Don, its little sister Ko Phi Phi Leh, and a couple of other islets. Its main claim to fame was when the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer  The Beach was filmed there (but that was in Phi Phi Leh). To get there, we boarded a ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi's Tonsai pier. Normally the trip only takes 45 minutes but because the monsoon season came in early (we went there in June), the huge waves midway through our journey slowed us down.
