LOOKBOOK | Prints and stripes make it from office to the beach
Cliché as it is, tropical prints are so summer that they're meant for the beach. In fact it's a shame that it's only now that I've worn this shirt to one. Buttoned shirts have always been city wear for me, like this time when I paired this tropical print shirt with white pants while strolling around The Henry Hotel Manila and felt like a haciendero.
I even wore it to the office with light blue seersucker-like pants for an all-blue ensemble. From afar it looks just white or a very light blue but up close you'll see the fine stripes, which makes it safe to pair with a loud printed top. Come to think of it, save for the shoes, it's the exact same pairing I'm sporting on the beach right here. But office or beach, what's the difference?
Prints and very subtle stripes.
Work it!
Beach = happiness for me.
When we say tropical shirts, I bet some colorful--sometimes even hideous--piece with flowers and palm leaves come to mind. Now if that's not your thing, if that's a little too much for you, you can try something that's monochromatic and still have that tropical vibe going on. 😉
Wearing all blue, I'm one with the sea.
The outfit's perfect for a morning stroll on the beach, don't you think?
Smile.
Smile weird.
I always love interacting with dogs on the beach.
The dog's name is Itac, by the way. Our resort at Ronda, Cebu was named after him (check out my review of Les Maisons d'Itac).
Happy Monday! Let's all continue to enjoy summer.
