[Lookbook 07.23.2012] Inspector jacket
I don't know why but for some strange reason I feel like I'm Inspector Gadget in this, uhm, jacket. It must be the numerous pockets, zippers and fasteners it holds. Anyway, let's just call it the "Inspector Jacket" then.
The still-rainy weather and the office airconditioning on overdrive have seemingly pushed my jackets out of my closet. Here I'm wearing this yellowish-brownish piece with black pants and a dark shirt with really tiny, tiny orange squares. From afar it just looks either dark brown or even black, so it goes with the jacket just fine. I think the jacket can also go well with something brown or blue, but my choice today was more out of laziness than being safe.
As GQ perennially preaches, you have to make sure that whenever you're wearing a jacket over a shirt without a tie, the collar has to be stiff enough to stand underneath the weight of the jacket. I hope GQ is satisfied with me here, particularly because the shirt didn't have collar stays.
