LOOKBOOK | Asian inspiration
Looks like I was too late for Chinese New Year with this outfit. Although the shirt showcases a Chinese collar—which I gladly buttoned all the way up—I wasn't really going for an Asian-inspired look. But I guess leaving the shirt untucked did the trick because its length and the cropped pants only highlighted each other's characteristics. Very Asian apparently, at least according to people at the office.
I also think the snug fit of my loafers added to the effect. Had I owned a pair of kung fu shoes, it would have really been great. But looking at the whole outfit again, I'm sure the effect would have been completely different had I tucked the shirt in and wore a different pair of shoes. Maybe I'll try that idea some time.
But seriously, I miss those kung fu shoes I wore in Kindergarten. Where can I possibly get a pair for adults?
