It's not often that I get to stay in a fancy hotel, let alone in a fancy room, so when such chances come by, it better be an excellent experience. Thankfully, and as I detailed in my review of the Grand Hyatt Macau , our stay was a truly great one. More so, spending a bit more for a Club room proved to be worth it. Now let me take you inside the Grand Club of the Grand Hyatt Macau.

Late last December I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt Macau --if only for two nights. I had a really great time there and clichè as I may sound, I wish I could have spent more time at this hotel. Anyhow, here's a rundown of my experience. Architecture and ambiance Located at the City of Dreams entertainment complex along the Cotai Strip , Grand Hyatt has two interconnected rectangular, narrow towers. There may be nothing extraordinary about its architecture but the hotel gives off a hip and modern vibe. The exteriors have an understated look and even the changing colored lights at night are never loud enough.

As I'm writing this I'm wondering about where the "cold" weather has gone. Not that we have winter or anything even remotely close to it but the Philippines usually gets to enjoy a wee bit of cold air courtesy of the northeast monsoon. But I haven't felt it at all. I got a taste of it elsewhere, though, last month. On a day set for a whole lot of walking, I prepped myself with a sweater, light brown jeans, and sneakers. Now lugging a coat around while going about town can be a bit of a hassle. Good thing it was cold enough throughout the day to allow me to just put it on practically the whole time. I was ready to elbow my way around all these tourists.

Such a douchebag pose, right? It sure has the makings of a douche: bathroom mirror selfie, duck face, and wait, matching camo sweatshirt and joggers ! We first found the joggers at an H&M store and thought it was cute. But lo and behold, it had a sweatshirt to match! Kwittiegirl asked me if I can wear both, and I said yes. But will I , she asked again. Without much hesitation I accepted the dare and bought both pieces.
