In the field of designer fragrances , Paul Smith doesn't particularly come to mind, for me at least. When I chanced upon Hello You! heavily discounted last year, I thought I'd give it a try. The box is quite striking with its 50s pinup design set against the designer's trademark colorful stripes. The bottle is mostly clear except for the stripes on one side and the pinup facing the inside of the bottle. But what's not very common is the screw cap, as most stoppers simply snap or slide into place.

I finally shaved, not for anything but because it became a little uncomfortable already at times. Although I would have wanted to try a really scruffy look for once. Maybe some other time. Today I paired blue with brown. I think I haven't tried this shirt with brown pants before (it's hard to keep track if I did) because I tend to pick gray and blue. For shoes, I tried these metallic ones instead of brown. And in keeping with the striped details on the collar and cuffs of the shirt, I also wore a striped belt. So there.

A little bit under the weather today with a runny nose. With the rain and relatively cooler weather, it really is best to simply stay at home and probably enjoy some chicken noodle soup. But then there's really lots of things to do at the office, and I was on leave already yesterday. So bring it! Outfit-wise, there's nothing much going on today; just a mix of stripes and some sheen. It was another sunny day today. For the second straight day, we shot with nothing but sunlight gleaming through the glass panels at the office. And my, oh my, have I been loving it! It's a purple and blue ensemble today. The shirt's Paul Smith while the pants are from Sahara at SM Department Store. Predictable, but I wore brown shoes from Aldo. However, instead of the usual leather belt to go with an outfit like this, I picked a rather informal one from Celio, just to make things a little different. A colleague noticed the stitching details on my shirt; "running stitch," she exclaimed. And so started a conversation that involved backstitches, chain stitches, and the like. The countdown to my birthday is really heating up. By the end of this workweek, I'll be another year older (yikes!). I'm not greeting the week in celebratory fashion, though. Fact is, I was a bit lazy to greet the new week, hence, the rather uninspired outfit today: black and gray (haha!). Anyway, I survived the day. The black pullover is from Paul Smith, the charcoal gray pants from Topman, and the jacket (part of a set) is from Springfield. I've had the jacket for maybe three years now. Sadly, the pants that came with it no longer fit. Yeah, I've grown that much since. The shoes are from Aldo, by the way. And I'm wearing my horcrux of a ring.

This morning I had a taste of what it feels like to wear shades indoors. Well, here's the story. We started shooting with me wearing a polo from Paul Smith, jeans from Penshoppe, a belt from Polo Ralph Lauren, and high-cut sneaks from Zara. I also wore a bracelet from H&M. So this was me before silliness came into play:

Happy 4th of July to you peeps in the States! Well it used to be that July 4th was celebrated here in the Philippines as Philippine-American Friendship Day, which, if my memory serves me right, was a national holiday. I could be imagining things, though. Anyway, it's a new workweek for me. There's nothing really special with my outfit today; just pulled out a blue Paul Smith shirt from my closet, along with Topman gray pants to go with it. But if there's anything fancy about the shirt, it'll probably be the collar and cuffs because of the multicolored stripes. I also didn't shave but I'm kinda liking my facial hair at the moment. Let's just see when my love affair with it will end. I'm noticing a habit here of me posting more photos than the usual recently. Oh well, just indulge me, will you?

It's a new work week but my mind is still on vacation mode. I think there are some glitches in me that prevent me from switching modes automatically. Maybe it's the color of my skin that has so willingly been kissed by the Boracay sun. If the colors of my skin and my outfit today were words, they definitely rhyme! Today I wore a striped shirt from Paul Smith, light brown pants from SM Department Store, and shoes from Pedro. And this is how I look standing, by the way (not very happy):

It was back to work today. Apart from sporting my new tan, there's nothing special with today's outfit, though. I already wore this shirt in January except that I paired it with pants in a lighter shade of brown then. Today it's dark brown. Shirt (Paul Smith); pants (Dansen at SM); shoes (Zara).

I look sleepy in this pic. But I really was when I had this taken this morning. It's Wednesday so I had to get up earlier than usual to beat the 7am time before I get apprehended for a traffic violation. Based on our car's plate number, Minitron (what we nicknamed our car) is banned from the streets every Wednesday from 7am to 7pm. (Yawn!) Today I'm wearing a knit pullover from Paul Smith, gray pinstripe pants that I got from Bangkok, metallic brown shoes from Pedro, and of course... ...my new Jeremy Scott for Swatch wrist watch, which I fondly call my new "wall clock ." True enough, my officemate, Leslie, called it a wall clock when she noticed it. Thanks to My Bibe of course.

I'm so brown today. From my waist up, I look like I'm gonna hunt some crocodiles or go on an African safari. I think My Bibe got this for me on ebay. I just don't wear it that often because I find it a bit cumbersome to iron, what with all the pockets and buttons in the way. It's Paul Smith actually. And the red thread used on the buttons can only mean...

I'm exploiting the last of two days where I get to enjoy airconditioning that works - away from the office. So after about a month since I bought it, I finally got to wear this coat from Topman (with a Paul Smith knit pullover underneath). Coats have always been a frustration for me in this tropical climate so please indulge me. The jeans too are worn out of exploitation. Because they're tattered I can't wear them to the office. It's from Bonavita at Linea Italia, another "accident" on no less than New Year's! And because I was too lazy to change bags, I wore these brown leather lace-ups from Zara to match the former. Besides, why would I want to change bags when it's special to me? After all, it was My Bibe's early Christmas gift to me last year. The odometer print and the multicolor striped bag tag are a giveaway. They scream Paul Smith.

I'm really frustrated with the faulty air conditioning in the office since last week. According to the maintenance guys, a purchase requisition for some parts was still in process. But I guess I'm more frustrated that I don't get to wear my jackets, that's why. Today I opted for a "fresh" look, something light and easy on the eyes. Shirt, Paul Smith ; pants, Dansen at SM. I'm actually glad that I'm finding more slim-fitting pants at department stores lately. Not that they fit perfectly but at least I now have cheaper alternatives that can somehow pass for what I'm really looking for. But of course underneath the calm surface are orange socks for some punch! But then, they're not just plain orange socks, as you can see below. Even more punch, eh? These socks are just part of several others - primarily wacky - that My Bibe got for me at Urban Outfitters online. Shoes, Zara.
