After a rather spiffy  all-blue ensemble , I'm back to something much more laid-back. Brown is the theme of the day and complementing this color are touches of wine and mustard. In the context of food, wine and mustard may not gel well together but they certainly do as colors. And yes, wearing (or non-wearing) the sweater like that is intentional.

I just posted about wearing stripes on stripes and cautioned against pairing verticals and horizontals. Now I'm wearing stripes again and turns out I'm doing just that--pairing verticals and horizontals. Well, sort of. My pants are corduroys , which basically are like embossed stripes. So in a way I successfully mixed and matched horizontal stripes with vertical stripes. Ha!

Yesterday was Earth Day. But instead of being so green, I was so brown. Anyway, brown is an earth color, right? So I'm not totally out of touch after all. And besides, putting on pieces in varying shades of brown is such a mindless thing to do. It's sure to work.

I realized I haven't had any lookbook post so far this week. It's been mostly about Milan FW recently so let's take a breather. But I guess I really have been viewing too much runway photos because I worked up my own runway for today's lookbook post. Please indulge me and my frustration...
