FRAGRANCE | Casamorati Lira by Xerjoff will forever be synonymous with Vice Ganda to me

Image
When I started expanding my interest in fragrances several years ago, Casamorati Lira by Xerjoff was among those that figured in my radar early on. I've read a lot of good things about this gourmand, so I thought of getting a bottle. However, I held back because whenever I see Lira, I couldn't shake the thought of Filipino comedian Vice Ganda off of my head. The image of the lady plastered on both box and bottle shares an uncanny resemblance to the comedian—and apparently it's not just me who noticed. As a result, I always thought I couldn't take this fragrance seriously.

FRAGRANCE | 12 Fragrance suggestions for Christmas

Image
Halloween may be my favorite occasion but Christmas is admittedly not far behind. So just as I made a list of fragrance suggestions for Halloween , I think it would be a good idea to also come up with a similar list for this merry occasion. Besides, this is such an extended season that you'll likely have to attend multiple celebrations, which means you'll have multiple chances of wearing something Christmassy.  Here are 10 fragrance suggestions for Christmas. You can click on each title for a more detailed review of each frag.

FRAGRANCE | Casamorati Italica EDP by Xerjoff: Simply put, it's delicious!

Image
I first had the opportunity of smelling Casamorati Italica at a sniff sesh in January of last year and then forgot how it smelled. I knew it was a gourmand but I guess I was so mesmerized by the darkness of Zoologist's Tyrannosaurus Rex that night that it just didn't resonate as much with me. I also knew it was released by  Xerjoff exclusively for the British luxury department store Harvey Nichols  and that it was really expensive, which probably only eroded my interest in it even further. But when Xerjoff announced in April that it was selling it for a limited time online, I got sucked in.

FRAGRANCE | Casamorati Dolce Amalfi EDP by Xerjoff: Childish or sophisticated?

Image
Dolce Amalfi , released under the Casamorati  banner, was our first Xerjoff , and I still love it to this day. It's just a happy scent for me, one that's perfect for warm weather and fits colder temperatures just the same. And while it's easy to dismiss it as a bubblegum fragrance, for me it's more than that.
