[Lookbook 03.07.2012] Casual summer chic

There's no denying it; summer is here. And yesterday the heat inspired me to wear something reminiscent of resort wear even if I was just at the office.

This is one of my fave thrifted pieces. It's basically a thin knitwear with a "scarf fabric" in front. I already wore it to a holiday at the beach last year and at least once to the office. About the latter, while I went all soft and flowy with the pants back then, this time I opted for something stiffer with chinos. Nevertheless, I maintain that this shirt is still best worn on a holiday. What do you think?

Because the chinos were a bit shorter in length, I thought I'd go without socks. But actually I'm wearing socks because I just can't go without them. What was once a frustrating hunt, affordable "invisible socks" are now everywhere -- thankfully.
