LOOKBOOK | Patterns and plaid
I've said it many times already but mixing patterns on clothing is not always easy, that probably the most viable fail-safe way is to pair a patterned piece with a plain one. But it can get boring too, right? I mean, let's have fun!
Here is a rather loud sweater. Although in earth colors, the patterns are still quite bold. It's also oversized, so it demands adequate contrast as far as fit goes for the ensemble to work. I paired it with plaid pants - with a slim fit to meet the contrast requirement - and in a color scheme that complements the sweater instead of competing with it. I think the trick here is that the plaid is not as loud, its hues darker.
And then brown leather shoes, of course, to complete this brown-themed look.
So what do you think?
