Except for that red piece that's part of a typical Katipunero costume, I don't think I've ever worn a bandana around my neck before. I really don't know why I haven't because it's such a timeless and effortless way to accessorize. But there's always a first time for everything, right?

Last night while rummaging through my drawers, I found this black and white silky bandana that I forgot I have. On a whim, I decided I'm gonna use it. So with practically no effort at all, I pulled out this light gray knit pullover, some black trousers, argyle socks, and a pair of black lace-ups to go with my newfound accessory. I know it should be the other way around but what the heck? Anyway, the bandana works perfectly with my rather drab color scheme (or lack thereof), giving my outfit a much-needed, yet subtle, lift.

A few weeks ago, I found myself wandering inside Bench Powerplant Mall. And what else would catch my eye but two fragrances by their lonesome twosome, positioned far away from the rest of the brand's scent offerings. They're Basil & Neroli and Green Cedar , both EDTs and part of the  Bench Better Made line . The frags are purported to be vegan and cruelty-free. They come in 125ml dark brown glass bottles and brown paper cylindrical boxes. Nice packaging there except for the cheap, plastic cap. No big deal, though, since they're just Php 428 apiece.

Man of style: Steven Tyler

What? Yes, Steven Tyler. He obviously does not fit the bill of the suited type or the GQ man but hey, the man's got style. And he's got swag, baby! Since joining American Idol , Tyler, together with fellow judge Jennifer Lopez, have glammed up the singing competition with their flair for fashion ( forget Randy; he's hopeless ). And I am more than happy to wait for what he's gonna wear each episode.
