LOOKBOOK | Purple and blues

Image
Nothing much going on here actually. Just a mock turtleneck , a plaid blazer, dark blue cropped pants , purple socks, and black lace-ups. Top it all off with a lot of attitude and of course, have fun!☺

LOOKBOOK | Monday blues

Image
How do you chase the Monday blues away? Typically nondescript office outfit here—white shirt with light blue stripes, bluish black pants, and black shoes. But if it's of any help in dealing with the Monday blues, I injected some color into my outfit with these cornflower blue socks. Although it's not much of a departure from the overall color scheme, it still pops somehow.

LOOKBOOK | 06Jan2015: Me and the tree

Image
It's the second workday of the year and I still haven't recovered from the holidays. If it's any indication, apparently I still can't let go of our Christmas tree. I know, taking it down, along with all other Yuletide decor you've once so excitedly put up, can be a drag.

[Lookbook 03.14.2014] Deception

Image
When people at the office first saw me this morning, they were all wondering why I looked so "formal" on a Friday (in our office culture, a long-sleeved shirt is already considered formal). These were the people who only saw half of me and were so easily deceived. Well, their sense of wonderment instantly vanished when they saw the full getup.

[Lookbook 11.19.2013] (Late post) Olive and denim

Image
An almost forgotten outfit post, this was taken before Halloween, during happier times before Yolanda struck and left a trail of devastation of biblical proportions across most of the Visayas and parts of Northern Mindanao and Southern Luzon. Not that I'm forgetting all that but I'm just forging ahead. I mean, how can I forget about our completely flattened house in Ormoc ? If my memory serves me right, I think I've never owned a denim shirt before up until this point. I don't know why but I'm liking it.

[Lookbook 01.31.2013] Black olive

Image
I was feeling quite casual last Thursday because at least to me, it was the last working day of the week already, as I was going on a short holiday. No ties whatsoever; just this black, low-cut shirt here worn over a white V-neck tee. I had to wear something underneath because I was at work and I couldn't just saunter around and show off my hairy chest, can I?

[Lookbook 11.07.2012] Metal-slapped

Image
Glad to be wearing these boots yesterday. I'm just happy with the design, the texture in the leather, and those two pieces of metal slapped onto the shoes. They're very stylish, yes, but more importantly, they're quite inexpensive. Seriously, they're really cheap.

[Lookbook 10.31.2012] Halloween outfit: Cute or creepy?

Image
Yes, that's me right there. At the office today. Forgive me for my silliness but it's Halloween. Okay, forget about the bear for a moment and let's get on with the outfit first because without that bear head, this ensemble is not a costume at all. And oh, my colleagues transformed our conference room into a makeshift playroom for trick-or-treaters . So I'm taking advantage of the colorful "set."

[Lookbook 10.30.2012] Setting a casual tone with teal

Image
October's almost over and this is only my second lookbook post for the month. Oh well. Anyway, today I'm keeping a more casual look, with my shoes practically setting the tone. Definitely not dress shoes, they also have quite the color - teal.

[Lookbook 09.26.2012] The shirt jacket

Image
Last Wednesday's outfit consisted of this stylish jacket I got a few weeks ago. I love the army green color, first of all, and also its trim cut and stylish design. Problem was when I tried wearing a shirt underneath, I felt it was bulking up underneath (or I was just fat). So I ditched the shirt for a white V-neck undershirt and treated the jacket as if it were a shirt.

[Lookbook 08.28.2012] Blush and bloom

Image
Last few days of August. After those periods of persistent rain, it was nice to see the sun come out and lord over the skies throughout the day. So I felt like going for blooms. But to avoid going matchy-matchy with shades of brown, I incorporated some color. The belt is a pinkish hue while the socks are reddish, just enough to stand up against the onslaught of brown (and khaki) all over.
