Nearly everyone here at the office is busy decorating for Christmas. There's a small contest within our department, that's why. Clusters of cubicles were grouped to form teams, and judging will be this Friday. We're four in our group, and our rather ambitious concept has been constantly met with challenges. We're going for an elegant black Christmas with silver and plum accents. There will also be some Christmas art printed on transparencies. But would you believe we've been to several bookstores and shops already, and every single one of them ran out of stock for black colored paper? Major problem. So far we've only managed to hang a single transparency sheet and we need to complete everything by tomorrow night. Good luck to us! Today I wore mint green on gray, and for leather, I went for black. The whole outfit's pretty basic and safe. The gray blazer was in hand for warmth whenever the AC got too cold for comfort. It actually doesn't match the...

Busy day. Today's outfit started out with the chinos. It's Thursday already so I thought I had to relax things a bit. But while picking the right shirt to go with such (relatively) casual trousers, I thought I could go with something I don't normally wear with chinos -- and so this shirt. Personally I'm quite pleased with my decision to pair a rather casual item with something more formal. Mixing and matching clothes can prove to be fun, actually.

These are but two of the many orphaned kids we visited today at White Cross in San Juan, Metro Manila. Like I wrote  yesterday , our department held an outreach activity, just a small gesture of paying it forward as a group. White Cross houses children only, ranging from a newborn baby to kids maybe ten or twelve. It is their hope, of course, that these children find a better home in an adoptive family. But then not everyone gets adopted, so I guess they're transferred to other orphanages once they've exceeded White Cross's age limit. Yes, it is sad. Anyway, we were told by our committee-in-charge to wear either red or green. I chose red and I was exploding with color today. The red is a vest from Attitudes at SM Department Store worn over a pink polo from G2000. Then I slipped into these orange-colored jeans from Zara, put on a pair of espadrilles, and wore a red-and-black belt from Mossimo.

It's really sad to hear that up to now there are still areas in Luzon that remain flooded, no thanks to the back-to-back typhoons that hit the country last week. TV footages reveal such an unsettling sight, with people on the roofs of their houses, helplessly waiting to be rescued. It's even more unsettling to learn that rescue boats are very limited, so it takes forever to move everyone to safety. And then even if people are rescued, in some areas they've got nowhere to go after because there's just flood everywhere. It also doesn't help that the rains keep coming and every single dam out there is releasing humongous amounts of water to maintain levels that are safe for the dams. I just hope this nightmare ends very soon. Good thing, though, that a lot of people and organizations are lending a hand, including the company that I work for. But just when is the President himself visiting the typhoon and flood victims? When? Oh, well. On with today's outfit,...

I'm now entering the last quarter of my yearlong project. While I enjoy doing Project Look Book , it can get tiring at times, especially when I've got lots of other things to do. That said, I'm still mulling over whether or not to continue this next year. Today I wore a blue-and-gray plaid shirt from Zara with blue pants from G2000. I was supposed to wear a tie but I was greeted with a rather warm morning and the idea of putting on a blue tie soon evaporated with the heat. Good thing, temperatures cooled down a bit as the day progressed. I contrasted all this blue with lots of brown, starting off with the shoes and belt. The brown jacket followed later in the day.

For weeks now I've been having problems sleeping every Sunday night. Yes, only during Sundays. It takes me a while before I doze off and when I do, it's shallow and not restful at all. And last night I suddenly woke up at 4am and I kept turning in bed for a good 30 minutes or so until I got back to sleep. It's definitely not insomnia unless there's a specific type where a person suffers from it only every Sunday. Weird, huh? In spite of my sleep deprivation, I went to work. Lots of things to do. I wore a Raoul pink and white striped shirt with blue trousers from G2000. Raoul normally has these unusually high collars in their shirts that I find it awkward to wear a tie with them. I guess I need a broader one for this because my slim and skinny ties just don't do the trick. Brown shoes and belt to complete the look.

It's another lazy day. If it were not for this striking striped shirt from G2000, I would have simply blended with the background. So the bright blue stripes afforded me something. Somehow. The pants I'm wearing are from Topman ( I always love the cut! ) while the shoes are Frank at Traffic. Both wristwatch and necklace are from Aldo. The belt's just a cheap one from SM.

I'm so looking forward to the long weekend ahead. But in the meantime, it's work. Today I wore a green shirt from G2000, which I haven't worn in months. No fancy stuff; kept it simple with just black pants and black shoes from Aldo. No necktie or bow tie. I just didn't feel like it, I guess. I wore green socks, though, but I totally forgot about them hence, no photos. The shirt, however, has got some pleats in front. You can see these details and more photos after the jump.

Though it's not the ideal shade, I'm so Slytherin with green today. I finally got to wear these single-pleated army green pants from Topman that I scored for just 999 pesos (around $23) because they were on sale. It's a carrot slim-fit cut, and I like the slightly slouchy upper part contrasted by the narrow bottom. I was undecided on what shirt should go with the pants, though, until My Bibe suggested this gingham number from G2000. I finished off the look with brown shoes from Zara and a brown leather belt from SM.

I was right about yesterday being warm, first of all. Today I was supposed to wear something I bought from HK but I couldn't find a certain knitwear I was supposed to pair it with. So I ended up with this short-sleeved shirt from G2000 that I paired with chinos from Bench. I really don't know what the color's supposed to be, if it's olive green or on the brown side. I'm confused. It looks more brown in the photo, though. Anyway, I look like a tree. It's not that obvious in the photo but the shirt actually has a floral print in white. Here's a closer look: The shoes are from Zara. The belt, on the other hand, I got from SM Department Store. I wore it to somehow make me look less like a tree.

I'm now entering the sixth month of my year-long narcissistic endeavor I call Project Look Book. I have to admit that sometimes it can be tiring, too. Like last night, I was swept with laziness so I picked the easiest clothes to iron. To somehow make up for that, I want to show you my wristwatch, which I've been wearing in a lot of my Look Book posts already but which has basically been hiding all along underneath the cuffs of whatever shirt I was wearing. Having a hard time figuring what the time is? It's around 9:22 in the morning when this was taken. Instead of having "hands," it's the dial (well, dials actually since there are three) itself that turns! Sweet, right? But what's even sweeter is that I got it at SM Department Store for only Php 499.50 (around $12)! It's definitely a cheap watch and yes, the materials are also obviously cheap upon closer inspection. But this watch has fooled quite a number of people already into thinking that it...

I went all out with color for my outfit today. I actually chose the Zara rust-colored jeans first then searched through my closet for something to pair it with. I went through a button-down and various shirts with safe colors before I settled for this lovely green polo from G2000. I though it was a perfect match. For footwear, I had to tone it down a notch with these light brown and white espadrilles. I thought it would be too much if something else tried to challenge the loud colors of the polo and jeans. While choosing which photos to post, I suddenly realized something amusing. My outfit perfectly resembled the colors of:

Although the day started out with dark skies, the sun is intermittently peering through the clouds already. So there's hope for a sunny weekend for me then. Today I'm wearing a gingham shirt (in a green-gray-white pattern) from G2000. If you look closely in the middle where the buttons are, a differently patterned cloth is used as detailing. The same mold is also used in the inside of the collar and cuffs, which I like. To complement the shirt I paired it with gray pants from Topman. The shoes are Frank at Traffic and the belt, Merger. Green leather jacket from Zara; frames by Kenneth Cole.

I haven't worn a tie in a while. Or at least it feels like it. So I'm wearing one today, something plain and solid to complement the busyness of the shirt, what with all the stripes and leaf details. I first wore this shirt in January for our department's photo shoot. I thought it was about time I brought it out of the closet again. But whereas last time I paired it with a metallic suit, this time I'm wearing it with black pants. Just plain and simple. Shirt (G2000); pants (Zara); lace-ups (Aldo).

As foretold, the toxicity from last week carries on. A bit casual for a Monday but I was going out of the office so I was just preparing myself for the hassles of finding a cab and contending with traffic, humidity and everything else thrown in. This is one of my favorite short-sleeved shirts. Got it from G2000 in Hong Kong last year. I think it's the blue that made me fall in love with it in the first place. Pants (Sahara at SM); belt (Merger); shoes (Zara); watch (Aldo).

My day started bad. Like, really bad. There's Foreman, there's traffic, there's never mind. Even if my morning wasn't the sunniest, at least that orange in my outfit lends me some degree of positivity. If only artificially. The shirt I'm wearing is the same shirt I wore for my very first Project Look Book post . Not that I have exhausted all my clothes already but I just felt like I had to wear some of those I've already worn before. I don't know, I just felt like it. But where I paired this shirt with brown pants and a brown tie before, today it's blue. And a brown jacket. Shirt (Martin Box at Linea Italia); jacket (Gap, thrifted); pants (G2000); tie (SM); shoes (Aldo).

It's an all-black ensemble today... ...with some white! I've had these shoes for some time now. Gives me something to read when I'm bored. Bought them at Theodore's in Bonifacio High Street before they closed shop (miss that store). They actually opened a new store after that near the Legaspi Park in Makati but they also closed down just last December. Ribbed pullover from U2 (By the way, does this brand still exist? I just know it's related to G2000 .); pants, Sahara at SM.

Today was our department's picture-taking ( as mentioned here ) at the roof deck of Tower 1 of our office building. So I took advantage of the location to document my look for today. Let's just say this was a stolen shot while I was posing for a different camera - my lowly Nikon D40 with Jasmin Garcia behind the lens. Photo courtesy of Joanne De Quintos, aviators lent by Riyal Viloria. This suit was another of my "accidents." I only intended to buy the pants but I impulsively got the jacket as well after the salesman showed it to me. No regrets, though - or guilt for that matter - especially since it wasn't expensive at all! In fact, it's the cheapest of my suits. Anthony Nocom at SM; black lace-ups from Aldo . The shirt was another accident way back in November of last year at The Block. It's the first time I'm wearing it here. G2000 . Look at the detailing. Can't blame me for getting this shirt. Paired it here with a black-on-blac...

Even if I wasn't feeling well when I woke up, I felt kind of sunny with my Friday getup. After all, I've already made up my mind the night before. A couple of my officemates remarked I looked like candy or chewing gum, that I was so bright and colorful. Yes, I love black but I definitely also love colors. Polo shirt from G2000 and the colored jeans I got on sale from Zara a while back. It fits right even if it's a size 32 (when I'm a 34 - sshhh!). Another Zara find, my loafers. I remember getting this, along with two other pairs after my surgery in early 2009. I've been having a hard time cleaning them, which makes me envy my officemate JM, who wears white loafers, like, most of the time. I like the buttons used on the shirt. It's gonna be hard to replace them, though, if they fall off. Good thing there's just one extra sewed on the tag. Happy weekend!

I'm Rumpled stiltskin! I like the pleated details in the front. Got it from G2000 in Hong Kong. My Bibe scored this agnes b.  floral printed tie for me from ebay. And of course, green socks! Got them from H&M in Hong Kong, pack of 4 different colors. Shoes from Aldo . They're actually kinda worn out already.
