This pretty much sums up my mood today:

I hit someone on the road on my way to work this morning. The kid came out of nowhere and suddenly ran across the street. So despite running at 20 kph or less (I was still within a few meters from our house and just made a right turn at a corner), I still hit the stupid kid. More stupid was the father who was sitting comfortably on one side of the road and nonchalantly leaving his four year-old to play on the streets like it were a playground.

Say what you want but I never felt sorry for them. In fact, the first thing that came to my mind was what a hassle it would be for me. The kid suffered only a few scrapes but we brought him to the ER anyway, and was discharged a couple of hours later. Of course I wasn't any happier when the time came to settle the bill, which was close to 9,000 pesos in all. F*ck! That was shopping money already. Now why does it always have to be the driver's fault?

I'm still feeling all this anger in me right now. I've laughed and smiled throughout the rest of the day, trying to shrug it all off but I'm still angry.
