Sorry for the late post; been both busy and really tired. So here I simply put on a pullover that I paired with black pants and black shoes. To dress it up, I brought a black blazer as well. Works well with our black Christmas-themed office space.

I feel like I'm overdressed today looking at this photo. But really I'm not. A blazer can really work wonders in dressing up any outfit. And how could I be overdressed when I'm only wearing a short-sleeved shirt underneath?

Attack of the gigantic me! Sorry for the late post. I've been busy last Friday because of our little Christmas decorating contest at the office. The atmosphere was so festive, I didn't have time to blog. My weekend, on the other hand, was restive and I still didn't have time to blog. The least I was able to do was sift through megabytes upon megabytes of images to use in this post. Festive as the day was last Friday, I was clad in black that day. My colleagues in our group all wore black to be consistent with our black Christmas theme. Here's how it looked:

It's a new week, and one of the last few left in the year. Next week I'll be visiting my mom and my little sister in Cebu. It's been more than a year now so I guess it's time to check on them. Today I'm in a lot of purple. The shirt's something from Rajo Laurel for Wharton. I'm happy with this shirt because I get to wear cuff links (yay!). So I'm a bit more "corporate" today, hence, the tie, which is actually from an old office uniform set. I wore blue pants since blue goes well with purple. Then brown shoes and belt, of course, for a more formal look. I keep on saying I'm more corporate and more formal today. Until you see the socks...

A little bit under the weather today with a runny nose. With the rain and relatively cooler weather, it really is best to simply stay at home and probably enjoy some chicken noodle soup. But then there's really lots of things to do at the office, and I was on leave already yesterday. So bring it! Outfit-wise, there's nothing much going on today; just a mix of stripes and some sheen. The shirt's Paul Smith, pants are from Merger, shoes from Traffic, and watch by Jeremy Scott for Swatch. Hope you enjoy the rest of the week!

Happy day today (in general). It sure felt like a Monday that I completely forgot our car's banned on the streets today because it's Wednesday (number coding scheme). So we commuted and I momentarily got into a shouting match with an a-hole taxi driver who only goes where he wants to go. But all's good now; I already reported him to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). I just hope something happens. I love this shirt that I'm wearing today. It's from Rajo Laurel for Wharton that I got from SM a few weeks ago. The gingham pattern's cool but it's the twist on the sleeves that I love more, which are made of a cottony fabric. So it's got a comfy sweater feel even if it's a shirt.

This pretty much sums up my mood today: I hit someone on the road on my way to work this morning. The kid came out of nowhere and suddenly ran across the street. So despite running at 20 kph or less (I was still within a few meters from our house and just made a right turn at a corner), I still hit the stupid kid. More stupid was the father who was sitting comfortably on one side of the road and nonchalantly leaving his four year-old to play on the streets like it were a playground.

Twice I've tried buying stuff at Forever 21 in SM Makati, and in both of those trips, I've left the store empty-handed. Not that the stuff were all bad but nothing was just singing to me (maybe next time). I was tempted to buy a pair of boots that were really cheap at around 2,200 pesos ($51). I loved the style but the material was just not good. The leather, which I suppose wasn't really leather at all, was so thin I'm afraid it would tear off easily. Disappointed, I went around the department store instead. After all, it's been a long while since my last visit. I indulged in a couple of cheap thrills: some accessories and a t-shirt. Then I got stuck at the Rajo Laurel for Wharton racks. I was surprised, yet pleased, to see the collection grow! There were more shirts now and I snagged three that I really liked, one of which I'm wearing today.

It's really sad to hear that up to now there are still areas in Luzon that remain flooded, no thanks to the back-to-back typhoons that hit the country last week. TV footages reveal such an unsettling sight, with people on the roofs of their houses, helplessly waiting to be rescued. It's even more unsettling to learn that rescue boats are very limited, so it takes forever to move everyone to safety. And then even if people are rescued, in some areas they've got nowhere to go after because there's just flood everywhere. It also doesn't help that the rains keep coming and every single dam out there is releasing humongous amounts of water to maintain levels that are safe for the dams. I just hope this nightmare ends very soon. Good thing, though, that a lot of people and organizations are lending a hand, including the company that I work for. But just when is the President himself visiting the typhoon and flood victims? When? Oh, well. On with today's outfit,...

After enduring a devastating typhoon last Tuesday, it was practically sunny the whole day today. Unfortunately for still a lot of people, though, there are areas north of Metro Manila that are still flooded, some even isolated following the effects of the typhoon. Then there's another one (Quiel) approaching the country. Hopefully this one won't be as bad. Better yet, I hope it just weakens and dissipates so as to spare us, or any other neighboring country for that matter, from further misery. Meanwhile, we conducted a training today on IT auditing fundamentals. It was just us within our department so it was very relaxed. I also took advantage of the venue for today's post. Although it was still in the same building, at least we were on a higher floor, which allowed us lots of light to work with. I wore black. Happy birthday to my sister! Just two more days and it's my turn to age another year. Today My Bibe remarked she hasn't seen this vest I'm wearing for the longest time. Me neither. I got it from Onesimus at SM Department Store. It has one button underneath and a zipper on the side. Save for the herringbone pattern in front, it's all linen, a fabric I don't like that much because of the difficulty in ironing it entails. But because there's not much fabric to this vest, I let it slide. Apart from the vest, my outfit today was comprised of a white shirt from Celio (with sleeves rolled up for a laid-back vibe), metallic trousers from Merger, and brown shoes from Traffic. The reason for all the brown was my sheer laziness in changing bags. In lieu of a watch, I wore a bracelet I got from a flea market. No hidden surprises with my socks today; they're all brown.

Do I look too happy today? No particular reason, though. We were laughing at one point during this shoot and I just thought of "extending" that laugh and see how it looks in the photos. Not bad, I thought. After running around with blades yesterday, I picked up a bow tie for today's outfit. It's maroon with some white dots on it, not my top-of-mind choice for a brown shirt with rust-colored miniature checks, though. But I thought it worked. With it I wore metallic trousers and a pair of brown lace-ups.

I got to wear my Bosquejo razor blade necklace again today. This time around, I wore it over a white shirt that's buttoned all the way up to the collar. Because the necklace is already too much, I kept everything else simple with gray pants and black shoes. I did put on some more accessories, though: a watch, a bracelet, and a ring.

Finally, some rest! I'm starting the long weekend a day earlier with My Bibe . So I'll have Friday through Tuesday next week free of work. (To my readers outside the Philippines, we have back-to-back holidays next week, Monday being National Heroes' Day and Tuesday marking the end of Ramadan.) I wore pink today, a vintage Dior that we've thrifted somewhere. A colleague even remarked that it's not something available today, that the fabric was different. Our conversation led to our moms who wore these really short dresses in the 70's, us marveling at how good the fabrics were back then. So I perfectly understand My Bibe 's obsession with vintage clothes. And man has she been getting a lot of them from ebay! Anyway, I put on these gray pinstripe pants from Topman to go with the shirt. I would have worn brown shoes by default but I opted instead for these black ones from Traffic because I wanted to wear a non-leather belt. I went with this striped red...

I finally got me my own razor blade necklace from Bosquejo Jewelry ! I first saw one on the fabulous Andre Judd over at lookbook.nu  a couple of weeks ago and was instantly captivated. Googling, I found out that they were sold at Anthology at the Powerplant Mall in Rockwell. They're designed by young Filipino entrepreneur Miguel Paolo Celestial. I've been too lazy to go to Rockwell, though, much to my regret because they've increased their prices only last Saturday! Grrr! But I had no choice; I wanted one and I was already there. The piece that I'm wearing here is Alecto from the line's "Furies" collection. It's made of stainless steel razor pendants, nuts and bolts, and nickel-coated beads and fasteners -- and damn, are they heavy! Because of my procrastination, however, what should have been 1,800 pesos ($42) cost me 350 ($8) more. That amount may sound low to some but for the average Filipino (including me!), it's a bit high already. O...

I'm so brown today. The shirt's from Celio. I don't think I would have gotten it had it not been for the blue detailing. I love such simple touches that instantly spice up any item. And because I didn't want to cover up the vertical blue line in front, I threw the necktie and put on a bow tie instead. Maybe I got carried away with all this blue that I also wore blue socks. I didn't know what pants to wear, though. I initially thought of blue but none of what I had seemed quite right. I tried some brown but it didn't work either. So I ended up with black. I'd appreciate suggestions, however, some that I could use the next time around.

It's Monday again. It's a little hard when you're used to driving yourself to work and then not having that car for an extended period. Our little Minitron  (our car's nickname) is still undergoing repairs after that flood and I'm missing him so much already, especially when I'm flailing like crazy on both sides of the road in hopes of getting a cab. But I'm kinda getting used to it after more than a week now. Today I'm wearing a shirt from H&M, bow tie to match from Merger, gray pinstripe pants, brown leather belt from Hickok at SM, and brown leather shoes from Traffic. And oh, though you can't see it much from the photos, I'm wearing blue striped socks.

I showed some skin today. Seriously, it's just the cowl neck top I wore today. I got it from Merger a while back. I really don't know what to make of it but let's just say it's a cardigan with a sewn-in shirt. Or with something sewn in to resemble a shirt. I really don't know but I just love it. I feel so relaxed in it, sexy maybe (Ha! Ha!). I just remembered a remark from an officemate when I last wore this to the office sometime last year, that it was sexy and that I was showing some "cleavage." Crazy! Okay, I'm showing more of my chest here and more of my shoulder is exposed. I couldn't have worn this piece today had I not trimmed my chest hair last week. How I wish the surplus of hair would be "reassigned" to my head to augment the scarcity in that area. It's all good, though. The jeans are from Penshoppe, while the boots and watch are both Aldo. The necklace is a cutesy one, a gentle contrast to the tough and dark fee...

It suddenly feels a lot like summer here since last weekend. It's extremely hot when it's supposed to be the rainy season already this part of the globe. On second thought, it's always summer in the Philippines. It only becomes a wet summer during the monsoon season. It's the only season I think we have. So today I wore something light, a floral-printed white shirt from Bangkok and pants from Merger. I love this shirt; it makes me look so thin (haha!). For footwear, I originally thought of wearing brown leather shoes but I changed my mind. I slipped into these ombre Zara lace-ups instead. And I'm still wearing my horcrux  ring . I wanna show you the shirt's print up close.While some roses are printed perfectly, others are made to look less perfect, which I actually like. Comments, anyone?

Much like those angry birds, I've been a very angry half-white boy since yesterday. Well, not all throughout but most of the time. There's just a lot of things that seem to provoke me, from my internet connection, to the cats making a mess, to traffic, to the cap of my tumbler that went missing, etc. Anyway, I'm okay now. Well I should be because My Bibe and I are going out tonight for a simple dinner somewhere. It's our sixth anniversary (yay!). It's a pretty simple outfit for today but I love the color. I mean the shirt, which is Tyler, a local brand that I like a lot. I find the collar quite unusual, or at least it's not something I see often. The cuffs are also quite odd, including the way the shoulders are cut. I just realized that last one while ironing the shirt last night although I completely forgot about it today so I missed on photographing them. Maybe the next time I wear it I'll show you.
