FRAGRANCE | French Coffee EDP by Al-Rehab: It's so yummy!
I have a few fragrances from Middle Eastern house Al-Rehab, all of which are lovable cheapies. From the unassuming Choco Musk, to the monster deceptively named Soft, they sure do not disappoint. Now it's time for French Coffee.
First of all, nice bottle. I love the metallic brown color, the typeface, and the Armani Privé-ish cap. It's also compact, sturdy, and heavy. It's easy to forget how inexpensive it is.
French Coffee is a sweet and yummy gourmand, like some vanilla-laced, mocha-flavored coffee. It does smell like something you'd want to eat, or drink. The coffee note is strong but not bitter. It ain't espresso after all but a fancy coffee-based drink you'd order from a cafe. It also reminds me of a local cracker sandwich called Hansel Mocha Sandwich, which is likewise cheap but good.
There's a sharp alcohol burn in the opening that lasts for less than a minute. Forgivable, though. After that the scent is very linear, projecting moderately from morning till noon and weakening thereafter. It's quite long-lasting, too. You can smell it on yourself practically the whole day, as it sticks to clothes.
Not everyone will want to smell like some sweet coffee blend (or like Hansel) although gourmand lovers will most likely be interested. While it's always best to try before you buy, there's really not much to lose given the low price. Personally I like it, especially during cold, rainy days. It's comforting and it just puts a smile on my face.
Good afternoon!

I recently tried the French Coffee EDP by Al-Rehab, and I must say, it’s a very interesting fragrance. The sweet coffee blend with hints of vanilla is quite comforting, though not everyone might enjoy such a gourmand scent. It’s definitely a standout among affordable perfumes. If you’re into unique and affordable fragrances, this one definitely has its charm. For those looking for something special, check out the Top Perfumes for Women on Special Occasions for more options.
