Sorry but I've been busy decorating yesterday. Like I've said , we have a Christmas decorating contest within our department and we had to put everything up by Friday for judging. It's nothing really big and it's all in the spirit of fun but bragging rights are priceless. I'll show photos of what became of our office in another post. And since I've been too busy to blog, picking my Thursday outfit was done on auto-pilot. I also had to be comfortable because I would be dealing with lots of tape, glitter and nylon. Hence, the pink pullover and pinstripe pants. But just to add a bit of flair, I wore this feather necklace from Topman.

I'm not really the type of person who has problems sleeping. I can sleep even after coffee, when there are people around, stuff like that. Last night, however, I don't know what's up with me but I had a really hard time drifting into slumber. Worse, I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Then my bladder needed emptying, I grew hungry, I don't even know what time I actually fell back to sleep. So this morning I was so groggy and all, I didn't feel like going to work. But I had to because I had a meeting, only to find out it had to be rescheduled. Oh well.

This was yesterday's look. Wasn't able to post because My Bibe and I went out to watch Stomp last night. And by the time we got home, I was too lazy to bother. Anyway, we had a great time together. We don't normally go out of Makati so it was a treat for us to venture into unknown territory. First of all, I'm not a fan of heavy traffic (but who is?), which is why I don't enjoy driving around at all. So we had to leave before five yesterday just to avoid most of the Friday rush hour chaos. Second, I'm not comfortable driving around when I'm not familiar with the roads, like which one's a one-way drive, where do I go left, where can I make a u-turn and all that stuff. Believe me, I had a good deal studying my route with Google Maps and with a lot of asking from colleagues.

I'm gearing myself up for a very busy week ahead. So I need to recharge over the weekend. I need my physiological batteries fully charged. I'm always looking forward to Fridays because I get to wear jeans at work. I opted for a lighter shade today with this Topman number paired with a Penshoppe tee. For footwear, I wore these high-cut shoes from Zara. Although you can't see it that much from the pictures, there's a Celio pink-and-gray fabric belt around my waist. I've been forgetting about my Jeremy Scott for Swatch "wall clock" of a wristwatch lately so I made up for my neglect by wearing it today as well.

It's a rather lazy day for me in terms of picking today's outfit. I just felt like wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Maybe it's got to do with the summery weather I talked about yesterday . But whatever it is, I actually like this shirt (from Zara) because of the seersucker fabric and its understated vibe. Months ago I wore this same shirt with brown pants; this time, though, it's a bluish gray item (from Bench). The choice of footwear followed naturally (also from Zara). And to spice things up a bit, I wore this fabric belt from Celio instead of leather and also put on some beads from Topman (there's blue, too!).

Happy birthday to my sister! Just two more days and it's my turn to age another year. Today My Bibe remarked she hasn't seen this vest I'm wearing for the longest time. Me neither. I got it from Onesimus at SM Department Store. It has one button underneath and a zipper on the side. Save for the herringbone pattern in front, it's all linen, a fabric I don't like that much because of the difficulty in ironing it entails. But because there's not much fabric to this vest, I let it slide. Apart from the vest, my outfit today was comprised of a white shirt from Celio (with sleeves rolled up for a laid-back vibe), metallic trousers from Merger, and brown shoes from Traffic. The reason for all the brown was my sheer laziness in changing bags. In lieu of a watch, I wore a bracelet I got from a flea market. No hidden surprises with my socks today; they're all brown.

Congratulations to Ms Angola for winning the Miss Universe title! And to our Ms Philippines, Shamcey Supsup, 3rd runner-up ain't that bad at all! So congratulations still! It was another sunny day today. For the second straight day, we shot with nothing but sunlight gleaming through the glass panels at the office. And my, oh my, have I been loving it! It's a purple and blue ensemble today. The shirt's Paul Smith while the pants are from Sahara at SM Department Store. Predictable, but I wore brown shoes from Aldo. However, instead of the usual leather belt to go with an outfit like this, I picked a rather informal one from Celio, just to make things a little different. A colleague noticed the stitching details on my shirt; "running stitch," she exclaimed. And so started a conversation that involved backstitches, chain stitches, and the like. Anyhow, though I'm not really fond of the shirt's fit (a tad too loose that I have to keep tucking it rep...

I got to wear my Bosquejo razor blade necklace again today. This time around, I wore it over a white shirt that's buttoned all the way up to the collar. Because the necklace is already too much, I kept everything else simple with gray pants and black shoes. I did put on some more accessories, though: a watch, a bracelet, and a ring.

I still can't get over my being sorted to Slytherin over at pottermore.com  just this morning ( see post here ). I was -- and still am -- so happy upon seeing the result of the sorting process although I know that I am a Slytherin by heart. If my being born in the year of the Snake isn't any indication, then I don't know what is. It was unusually warm today, especially after experiencing weeks of rain. I thought I chose the wrong outfit because I really felt uncomfortable for most of the day (and night). Anyway, I wore a blue shirt from Celio paired with black pants from Zara and shoes from Aldo. The tie and belt I got from SM Department Store. The watch is Aldo as well. The outfit is a rather safe choice and pairing for me, but a classic one I daresay.

Was having tummy problems this morning so I only reported for work after lunch. The outfit I prepared last night was for a cold, rainy day since apart from raining so hard last night, thunderstorms were to be expected today according to weather forecasts. Well, it did rain this morning but by noon, the sun was shining like it was summer. I didn't have time to pick something else and just went on with what I originally prepared. So my meant-to-be-for-a-rainy-day outfit consisted of this pink knit pullover from Celio, black pants from Bangkok, and my new black slip-ons from Traffic. Needless to say, I ditched the jacket I prepped. The black leather bag, which I had for some time now, is from yesstyle.com . It's really huge but I love it anyway. The sunnies, from Aldo, was a last-minute addition. More photos after the jump...

It's been a long week and I can finally stretch and relax. Cliché as it may sound but thank God it's Friday! I thought I'd wear my Topman feather necklace today. I felt like I had to maximize my spending on it so here goes. It's colorful enough already and because I decided on wearing these mint green jeans from Zara, I had to keep my top simple to tone it down a notch. After all, some peeps here already think my silver sneaks (also from Zara) are already "wild" enough for them. But I don't think so. The top, by the way, is a hooded pullover from Urban Outfitters. The belt is from Celio.

I'm so brown today. The shirt's from Celio. I don't think I would have gotten it had it not been for the blue detailing. I love such simple touches that instantly spice up any item. And because I didn't want to cover up the vertical blue line in front, I threw the necktie and put on a bow tie instead. Maybe I got carried away with all this blue that I also wore blue socks. I didn't know what pants to wear, though. I initially thought of blue but none of what I had seemed quite right. I tried some brown but it didn't work either. So I ended up with black. I'd appreciate suggestions, however, some that I could use the next time around.

Yesterday I said I looked like a tree. Well, the "green streak" continues today with something really green: my pants. No more tree allusions today but what do I wear with it since they're really green? This was the result: I fell in love with these pants the moment I saw one on a mannequin at an H&M store in HK. So in love was I that when it was time to "edit" my loot to fit my budget, I foregone a handful of cheaper items just so I could keep this one. And there are absolutely no regrets. I originally thought of wearing a blue double-breasted jacket with it but I thought it was too formal. Some other time perhaps. So instead, I pulled out my ever-reliable madras jacket from Zara. I actually wished I had an electric blue blazer -- that would be perfect! But because I wanted to tone things down a notch for my green pants's debut, I picked a white shirt from Celio and my not-so-white-anymore loafers from Zara. Then I just went white all the way ...

[Project Look Book - Extended Weekend Special] Saturday, June 11, 2011

This is a late post. But hey, I'm on vacation! Found time just now while winding down after packing, successfully fitting everything into our luggage. Hooray! Anyway, I'm normally in jeans/shorts and a t-shirt when flying but for this trip I thought, hey, why not dress a little differently than usual? So I wore a long-sleeved shirt and lace-ups! And to dress it down a bit, I went for shorts. Yes, I wore this from the moment I walked out of our house, throughout my two-hour flight, and until we reached our hotel. And since our room wasn't ready yet when we checked in, I went straight to shopping in this getup as well. I know people want to dress comfortably when traveling, and I definitely agree. Now down with the arched eyebrows because believe me, I am comfortable in this outfit. I am comfortable enough in leather as I am comfortable in Sanuks . Shirt (Celio); shorts (Penshoppe); shoes (Zara); watch (Aldo); bracelet (Merger).

Today is my last workday of the week since I'll be going on a short vacation. So it's like Friday for me! As if in celebration, I put on this shockingly bright fuchsia ribbed pullover from Celio. But why not? Pants (Topman); shoes (Frank at Traffic); eyeglasses (Blue Soda).

A bit casual today, basically because of the shoes. They're not really office-appropriate but I'm defiant simply because I wanted to wear them already. It's been more than two weeks now since I bought them so I thought now is the time. So what would go well with gray? I thought brown would be nice. So brown it is. Shirt (Celio); tie (SM); pants (Topman); shoes (Zara).

After yesterday's totally uninspired look , I went for lots of sheen today. Got the sheen shirt from Celio, the sheen tie from SM, and the sheen pants from Merger. Lots of sheen! Shoes, Aldo.
