So I got myself another one of those kimono cardigans from House of Nippon . They're great for lightweight layering . Because the fabric's thin enough, they're perfect for the tropics while affording the wearer just a bit of warmth. And swag.

I really love my stash from Uniqlo's Minions Bello Summer t-shirt collection . After dressing up one with matching lightweight seersucker blazer and pants, I'm letting it loose this time with this striped piece.

Despite all the deadlines and the gazillion more things to do, it's fun times at work this week as our HR is holding a wellness fair for us with a particular focus on style. Dubbed #OurSmartStyle, the week-long event features booths from various partners like Robinsons Dept. Store, Belo Medical Group, Fitness First, G2000, Basic House, and more. There's everything from discounted apparel and fragrances to free hair and makeup. So my colleagues and I checked out the photobooth at the lobby. But since 4 shots and 1 print clearly ain't enough, we also brought our own camera. And of course I got some shots for this outfit post.

I do admit that wearing darker-hued trousers leaves a man with much less trouble in picking a shirt and jacket to go with it. Now colored pants--much so bright ones--can be a little challenging at times. But then it's nice to wear some color, even on occasion. After showing you some ideas on how to wear green pants , let's see about bright, rust orange jeans this time. They're jeans, so t-shirts are a no-brainer, even polo shirts. But it's not about them, right? It's more about what colors go well with orange. For starters, white, blue and brown go nicely with orange. But putting on more colors, like this graphic print shirt here, can also work. While there's blue, yellow, green, and red on this tee, there's also some orange on it, which conveniently ties everything else to the jeans's color. For footwear, it's brown high-cut sneakers here because like I said, it goes well with orange.

Here are a few ideas that I've pulled off myself, extracted from my lookbook archives . Bright green I don't know what shade of green this is but pairing it with a white shirt is your safest bet. White belt, why not? The bold color just screams casual, so loafers are in order. A dark blue jacket probably wouldn't hurt but if you're feeling a little adventurous, why not put on a madras jacket like this one? Even if it's a patterned jacket, it still works because the dominant color is blue. Besides, it's also anchored on the little blue, red and white details on my loafers.

I almost already forgot I had these red wingtips, so I decided to get some dirt under them. It's a tricky color for shoes, and perhaps the easiest way to pull them off is with jeans. I once wore these red shoes with a brown outfit and today I'm trying something different.

Some mood lighting, huh? The moment they hung those giant lanterns outside our building, with one particularly huge piece right smack outside our conference room, I thought I should do a lookbook post by the window at night. Alas, work has been hectic and I realized I haven't had any outfit post since December started! Well, tonight I found time.

After "dropping by" Enchanted Kingdom last Saturday, we drove to Tagaytay to experience some much cooler air and spent the night there. After some bulalo at Antonio's, we checked in at Hotel Kimberly (again!) and no longer bothered to go some place anymore that night. We were dead tired. The cool breeze felt really good but reluctantly, we had to go back to the torturous heat of Metro Manila the next day. I originally intended on doing a few laps in the hotel pool the following morning but  My Bibe and I decided on catching a few more hours of sleep instead. Hungry, we had galette and crepes at Cafe Breton first before speeding off to Manila.

In the same stupid mold as planking, owling and Tebowing, now comes " Noynoying ," an irreverent jab at the Philippine president's supposed laziness and inaction. A play on his nickname Noynoy ,  Noynoying enjoys a variety of poses that depict his not doing anything but is mostly characterized by a slouchy posture, a dead stare with mouth agape, or a hand supporting one side of the face ( best if you can drool! ). Well, I tried Noynoying for this lookbook post but the photos didn't quite turn out as what I'd wanted them to be. I kinda suck at it, to be honest. Guess I need more practice. Eventually I bailed out and defaulted to my usual lookbook poses. It's Friday and I was enjoying the sunny vibe of my outfit.
