LOOKBOOK | Of knit polos and whimsical footwear

Image
Knits are always a nice addition to anyone's wardrobe, and I have amassed quite a few. Depending on what kind of knit and thickness, they can be very versatile and can go with practically any look or occasion. Apart from a couple of cable-knit and other thick sweaters , most of my knits are round-neck or V-neck pullovers that I can easily wear with a jacket or blazer to the office. Knit polos , on the other hand, I hardly have, so it's nice to wear one.

LOOKBOOK | The velvety suit

Image
I realized I've been buying suits for the last two months or so. It's a bit weird if I really think about it because where I work we don't really wear suits. Heck, nobody even wears a tie anymore! But in an irrational attempt at rationalizing my purchases, I only went after the ones that were on sale (okay, save for one). Less guilt, I guess? Anyway, I've since made a resolve to put in a little more effort into dressing up for work. That includes wearing more long-sleeved shirts, neckties and bow ties, and yes, suits. I mean, I gotta wear all the stuff I've been buying, right? You see, I usually fall into this trap where, due to sheer laziness, I simply wear a pullover or sweatshirt with whatever pants that requires the least amount of ironing . So today I'm wearing a suit. A velvety suit .

LOOKBOOK | 26Nov2015: The mad cat and the pirate in loafers

Image
Looks like someone's not very happy about being picked up and smothered with kisses. Well, she asked for it. She was the one who's been walking to and fro while I was working my way with the camera and timer. Thordis always does this and I've had enough. That expression on her face, though -- priceless!

LOOKBOOK | 02Jan2015: Mr Slouchy Pants

Image
My first outfit post of the year! I never really intended to do one but since I was bored out of my wits at the salon, I asked Kwittiegirl to take a few shots of me with my phone. Plus it was as if the chandelier and the red orange walls were urging me to get on at it.

[Lookbook 10.03.2014] Sleek but chill

Image
Our department had a little cascade and team building yesterday in Tagaytay. It was definitely a fun day for all of us, capped by a very filling dinner. For the most part of the day I was just clad in shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops. But before we left the team-building site and right after a good shower, I changed into walking shorts and a turtleneck top. I chose this long-sleeve top supposedly in preparation for colder temperatures at night but unfortunately it didn't get that cold. Good thing the turtleneck is light enough that I didn't sweat.

[Lookbook 04.15.2014] Summer cool

Image
Today was one of those days when at last I got to wear one of my purchases from probably December or January. Thanks to the unbearable summer heat this rather simple blue shirt has finally left my closet and seen the light of day.

[Lookbook 09.02.2013] Casual Monday

Image
Well, well, well... it's been months since my last outfit post. And who says casual is confined to Fridays only? Luckily for me, we had a little activity today that gave us the perfect excuse to wear jeans.

[Lookbook 06.07.2013] One last shot at summer

This post is a week late. By this time the local weather bureau had already announced the official start of the rainy season, a typhoon had already whizzed by the archipelago, and parts of Metro Manila have already fallen victim to flooding.

The shoes on the runways of Milan and Paris: Slip-ons and strap-ons

Image
More shoes from Milan and Paris, and here are a couple of those gorgeous loafers, slip-ons and shoes with straps. Etro The patterned fabrics are really great although you really wouldn't want to wear them when it's raining.
