LOOKBOOK | Relax...but suck it all in

Image
End of the week. Time to loosen up and relax. Here I went for what are essentially still joggers but in a fabric with patterns typically seen only in business wear, like plaid . The fabric is very soft, so you feel very relaxed in it, more so with the pants's loose construction. Okay, they may not technically be joggers after all, so let's just call them drawstring pants. 😉

LOOKBOOK | Athleisure comfort for the rainy days

Image
I do wear joggers quite often. I even pair joggers with an office shirt and wear it to work. But never have I worn something that completely matches my top. Until now.

LOOKBOOK | Because joggers are also pants

Image
Yes, joggers are pants, so who says I can't pair them with a proper office shirt and go to work? The black sneakers are just a bonus. 😉

LOOKBOOK | Camo coordinated redux

Image
It's been a while since I last sported a camo on camo ensemble , more so this matching camo shirt and joggers set  that's been hiding in my closet for some time now. Wearing a camo piece is fun, so why not double the fun by going all camo? To avoid looking awkward I guess you just have to exude confidence and own it. Yeah!

LOOKBOOK | A craftily subtle Baguio City shirt

Image
Nothing says Baguio City more than pine trees and the cool mountain air. When our team at the office went there last summer for our now annual summer outing, I was sadly confined at the hospital. But at least I got this red souvenir tee (yeah, we're so cheesy we've been having souvenir t-shirts for 2 years now). Designed by a colleague, it's basically the coordinates for the place. I love its simplicity and I thought, what a crafty way to wear a "Baguio City" shirt without actually having to wear something with "Baguio City" printed on it! And I finally got to wear it while at the so-called City of Pines!

LOOKBOOK | Camo coordinates

Image
I suppose I needed the sunshine to wake me up. Although already showered and dressed up for work on a casual Friday, I was still sleepy. I managed to get through the day, though, and elicited a lot of attention with my outfit. A rather bold choice, wearing matching shirt and pants isn't exactly a common practice among us guys. But the idea appealed to me, especially after trying it already while on vacation last December where, incidentally, it was also a camo coordinated set that I wore. While that matching camo sweatshirt and joggers outfit was in a desert camo print, you can very well say that this is Camo on Camo Part 2. The print this time, though, is in a darker, jungle pattern with some blue thrown into the mix.

LOOKBOOK | The camo on camo dare

Image
Such a douchebag pose, right? It sure has the makings of a douche: bathroom mirror selfie, duck face, and wait, matching camo sweatshirt and joggers ! We first found the joggers at an H&M store and thought it was cute. But lo and behold, it had a sweatshirt to match! Kwittiegirl asked me if I can wear both, and I said yes. But will I , she asked again. Without much hesitation I accepted the dare and bought both pieces.

LOOKBOOK | The tourist

Image
Forget about that debate on whether a person is a traveler or a tourist. Fine, I'm a tourist. While it certainly wasn't my first time here, it was my first in December where temperatures are much cooler. That in mind plus the anticipation over a whole day of walking led me to come up with this outfit.

LOOKBOOK | 17Nov2015: Sheepish on another faux Friday

Image
Wearing blue and olive here. Oh, the APEC blues. After a hellish Monday for commuters everywhere due to road closures and all, it was a surprisingly much better day yesterday with very light traffic, probably because a lot of people opted to, depending on their respective workplaces's arrangements, worked from home or simply skipped going to work altogether. And oh yeah, because Wednesday and Thursday were declared special holidays in Metro Manila (and I'm on leave on Friday), yesterday felt very much like the start of the weekend. Or it could be just me.

LOOKBOOK | 14Nov2015: Feeling young

Image
Because of some passport-related stuff I found myself at the same mall for two consecutive days. While I sported a more "dignified" look last Friday (I was renewing my passport after all), Saturday saw me in a more relaxed state. First up, those shoes. Quite the departure from my normal footwear, I got them on a whim after Kwittiegirl saw a poster and decided to check the store out. Maybe a tad cartoonish for its bulky look, but they're very light and comfy. I find them really cute.

LOOKBOOK | 23Sept2015: Windowpane joggers for the office

Image
It seems that I can never have enough joggers, especially since brands have continuously been reinventing this piece of clothing left and right, churning out design after design -- and it's driving me nuts. After recently mulling over whether I can wear joggers on a regular office workday , today I did it. Thanks to Uniqlo, I found just the right piece that I can confidently wear to work. Just like my last one it also has a fly. And save for the requisite drawstring and puckered hemline, it almost looks like pants any regular office guy would wear to work. I was able to comfortably wear it with a long-sleeved shirt (air tie optional) and a pair of ombre lace-ups sans socks.

LOOKBOOK | 28Aug2015: Joggers with a fly

Image
Our little girl always wants to be part of the scene. With t-shirts being de facto Friday wear at the office, the sight of someone in a buttoned shirt comes as a surprise to many. In my case colleagues were wondering why I was, in their own words, "so formal," at least until they noticed that I was wearing joggers and sneakers.

LOOKBOOK | 19Jul2015: Pining for pineapple

Image
Now that's what you wear next to a giant pineapple. Go for an Aztec-patterned tank top, slouchy-crotched joggers, and a pair of sneakers. Haha! Whatever. After 3 times of passing by the town of Calauan, Laguna and each time contemplating on stepping out of the car to take some photos of that kitschy pineapple statue in the town plaza but always giving in to that "maybe next time" thought, we finally did it. Woohoo!

LOOKBOOK | 02May2015: Checked out, checked in, and went around town

Image
Yes, my joy couldn't be contained after the Mayon Volcano showed up somehow on a very cloudy day, not to mention that that day began with really heavy rain. And yes, I did check out (of our hotel in Sorsogon City), traveled some 60km and checked in (at another hotel in Legazpi City), and went around town (still in Legazpi) -- all in one day.

LOOKBOOK | 28Feb2015: The hatted jogger

Image
Waaah! There's a Transformer right behind me! Run! Well, I didn't know at face if it was an Autobot or a Decepticon. I would love to meet Megatron, though. Anyway, hats off to the Meralco guys for this. They always seem to come up with all the fun stuff, like how they turn their office grounds into a dazzling display of lights and everything Christmas that is the annual Meralco Liwanag Park . So we were there again last Saturday for the last hour of  Make and Break: A Festival of Creators .

LOOKBOOK | 25Jan2015: Slouch and stripes

Image
Lazy Sunday. There was a soft drizzle at one point. Before I headed out I enjoyed some "me" time. Just me and the camera. And no one else.

LOOKBOOK | 02Jan2015: Mr Slouchy Pants

Image
My first outfit post of the year! I never really intended to do one but since I was bored out of my wits at the salon, I asked Kwittiegirl to take a few shots of me with my phone. Plus it was as if the chandelier and the red orange walls were urging me to get on at it.

[Lookbook 12.19.2014] Joggers and boots in kiddie Christmas-land

Image
A super late post for my last office lookbook post of 2014. By this time I'm still hung over the holidays while anxious at the same time that it's gonna be over real soon. Boo!
